• Knowledge about the Third Buddhist Council, and hence Soṇa and Uttara’s journey to Suvaññabhūmi, was not unknown earlier in Pagán. Indeed, their story is represented as a mural on the Myinkaba Kubyaukgyi temple, thought to have been built in the eleventh century. (Rāmañña - 323)
